Rumi Plaza, Herat, Afghanistan: Azizi Architects, Inc. recently completed the design of Rumi Plaza for Rumi Development Services in Herat, Afghanistan.  Being that this project is in a historical city of Afghanistan where the Islamic architecture has progressed significantly throughout the ages, it is designed with Islamic architectural features with full consideration of the Islamic and local cultural requirements.  The project consists of a new 12-story residential and retail commercial tower that is currently under construction.  The project includes an underground parking level, a basement retail space, a ground floor retail space, four-unit residential apartments on the second through seventh floors and hotel suites from the eighth through twelfth floors including a roof top garden with an outdoor dining area.
